Our mission at CrossFit Temecula is to assist each athlete with reaching, and exceeding their fitness goals. This is why we ensure that each day, each week, and each month's workouts are programmed with the ATHLETE's progression in mind! We don't care what others think about our programming, we don't care about how good it looks on the blog, and we don't care what others think it should be. What we keep in mind is this question... are the athlete's of CrossFit Temecula better today than yesterday? And, if we are doing that safely and effectively I consider that a success.
Our CrossFit Goup Classes are led by a certified CrossFit Coach which has had training beyond their Level 1 Seminar. Each of our coaches has been through a rigorous internship to ensure full competency with teaching, seeing, and correcting movement along with being able to appropriately scale an athlete. This coach will ensure the atmosphere remains a highly coached one in order to allow each athlete a safe and positive progression with their fitness. Simply put, if an athlete is peforming a movement incorrectly the coach will help them with getting the technique or movement correct before moving on. The coach is also there to help maintain intensity with the workouts by creating a positively supportive and motivated atmosphere. We use metabolic conditioning (running, rowing, jumping, etc.), gymnastics (pushups, pullups, dips, etc.), and oympic weghtlifting (clean & jerk, snatch), along with many other movements to develop your fitness. This makes for constantly evolving fitness goals, and more importantl it keeps fitness fun.
Our group classes are for any individual and do not eliminate anyone from having the ability to do a CrossFit workout. CrossFit is used by Navy SEALS, mixed martial arts fighters, US Marines, and many other elite individuals. But, some of the top level CrossFit athletes are mothers, grandmothers, office workers, teachers, etc. We are able to make this for everyone by making every workout fully scalable to the individual.
Our classes are 45-55 minutes long and consist of a:
- Dynamic warm-up that is used to get the body and mind properly warmed up for extreme physical activity.
- Strength work that can consist of strength training/weightlifing movements reminiscent of movements found in the Clean & Jerk and the Snatch.
- Skill work that will trian balance, agility, coordintaion, and accuracy.
- Finally, we will finish the class up with a “workout of the day”. This is also known as a WOD.
