CrossFit Temecula-What are we really putting in our bodies?

WATCH THIS MOVIE, PLEASE!!!

It is no secret what we put in our body is an important part of our health and fitness. I'm actually here to tell you that it is the MOST important part of your health and fitness. The food industry is controlled by the money hungry corporations that do not care about you or your family's health; the only thing they care about how big their wallets can get. They are essentially forcing farmers to comply with their unjust rules and laws, and if they don't the farmers will be shut down.

The only way to stop the "legal" poisoning of your body is to educate yourself and steer away from the horrible trends that the food industry is using to grow our food. If this is happening now just think how bad it will be for your children in ten or twenty years from now.

It's completely crazy what the American government portrays to the American public as a healthy diet. The food pyramid that is held on a pedestal is another piece of propaganda used by the USDA to help the rich get richer and the poor get fatter. The food pyramid was made to help one group, the food industry; which in turn helps the rich get richer, once again. It tells you to eat a certain amount of a certain food group. Take a close look at the food pyramid; it is divided into the different types of farming, not actual food groups. Notice how it is saying you need grains the most. That is insane! So, grains will do more for your body than lean meats, green vegetables, or fruits with a low glycemic index. But, a government is supposed to look out or the best interests of its people. That is why we, the citizens of America, are not questioning this enough. It takes people who actually care about themselves and their family's bodies enough to help fix the problem.

I am, obviously, the type to question everything; I get as much information on a subject as possible and then make an educated decision on what I think about that certain subject. I have read books and watched documentaries; I have read blogs and internet articles. I now have a good understanding on what is going on in America, as far as food goes. It isn't good and our government is not looking out for the best interest of its people.

I understand that body types differ, genetics differ (please don't ever use that as an excuse to be fat), and diets differ. I know not everyone can have a six pack and 20 inch arms, that's not fitness anyway. I always say "The abs and all that muscle magazine stuff is bullshit but,  it isn't impossible. Don't focus on the "toning up and leaning out" side of fitness. Toning up and leaning will happen through good dieting and hard training. It is one of the many positive consequences."  No matter what the case may be there is never a reason to be obese! On www.medterms.com they give the definition of obesity as one being 20% or more above their ideal bodyweight. 20%!!! At 200 pounds, could you imagine carrying a forty pound sandbag with you all the time? That is what is going on. Even worse is doctors are telling overweight individuals they are in their weight range so they are doing good, even if they have a belly hanging over their belt line. They might be in the weight range, whatever and however they decided that is I don't know. But, if the people stay sick then the doctors will keep getting paid (keep that in mind the next time your doctor tries to give you some pills or a shot for no reason, or even a small reason. But, that's a whole other blog that I will write soon:)).

So, now it's statistic time. America's current obesity rate is around 30%, meaning 30% of the people in America are obese. This is obviously a huge portion. In California 20-24%, still a huge amount of people. This is the one of the more interesting, but disturbing statistics; only one state in America fell below 20% and that was Colorado. Good job Colorado you only have a 14-19% obesity level. These are the American statistics for adults.

It is one thing if you are killing yourself slowly but, it is another when you project your poisonous ways onto your children. I'm not sure if any of you saw on the news lately, a story of a mother that let her 2 year old daughter smoke marijuana. It was a disgusting site and quite unbelievable if you ask me. Then I started thinking about it. To be honest, I don't think that is any different than some of the parents who let their 2 year olds walk around with Dr. Pepper or Coke in their sippy cups. Or parents who are letting their 5 year old polish off a bag of Doritos while they sit in front of the television for 5 hours and watch the same cartoon they watched the previous week. You don't see any of those parents on the news. That is because America would have to hold them accountable as a whole, because obesity is an epidemic. No way do we want to admit we are guilty as an entire society. The truth is the obesity rate for children was almost 20% for children 6-11, and just over 18% for children 12-19. It makes sense if you think about it. The food has become worse and worse so, of course they are going to become more obese at a younger age as the years go by.

Well, I honestly could go on about this subject I am so passionate about forever. I just wrote almost a thousand words about problems of health in America and it wouldn't be fair if I didn't offer some solutions. It is easy, KNOW WHAT YOU ARE EATING!!! A couple hours of research and some label reading would improve your health tremendously. Eat foods that are seasonal and locally grown. Eat organic lean meats, vegetables, and fruits. Stay away from the genetically modified beans and corn that can actually be patented now. Yes, people can actually patent food now.  Find out where a farmer's market is and shop there! Stay away from the giant corporations that pump the meat so full of stuff that the animal can't even walk because it grew too fast. I know it is more expensive, but I promise it will come back to you when you don't have to go to the doctor's office multiple times a month, shoot yourself up with insulin because you've been diagnosed with Type II Diabetes, fill your high-blood pressure meds multiple times a year, or save for an early funeral. It's time to turn our society around through information. I am thanking you in advance for taking the time to care about yourself and your loved ones enough to read this. DO YOUR PART!!!
